‘PMAX ECO TRADER’ Series

Dutch maritime companies, including Groot Ship Design, boost MPV shipbuilding in the Netherlands at SAS shipyard.

Monday 2nd September it was announced that Longship Group has ordered a series of four state-of-the-art vessels, with an option for an additional four ships. This newbuilding project will be a collaboration between Groot Ship Design, GS Projects and Ship and Steelbuilding (SaS) at the Dutch shipyard in Waterhuizen.

Groot Ship Desig designed the ‘PMAX ECO TRADER’ vessels specifically to meet Longship’s requirements for custom shipping solutions.

The new ‘PMAX ECO TRADER’ series is scheduled for delivery starting beginning 2026. These 6k tdw vessels are designed for highly efficient fuel consumption and advanced eco-friendly technologies. The initiative represents a significant step towards greener maritime operations, reflecting Longship Group’s commitment to environmental responsibility and innovation in the shipping industry.
