Next Milestone Canopee

The Canopée project reached a next milestone. The completed hull was prepared for launching and was moved from the shore onto a large pontoon. The vessel will be floated out after entering a nearby drydock. This type of launching is very secure and reduces the changes for damaging the hull.

It will be a pleasure to see her afloat in the environment that fits her best, water! Completing the hull will commence after the launch. In due time Canopée will be towed to a location in the Netherlands for further outfitting and commissioning.

The team of Groot Ship Design is proud to be part of the project together with the builders Neptune Marine Projects, Goltens Green Technologies (all located in our hometown Leek, the Netherlands) and Partner Stocznia (located near our office in the area of Szczecin, Poland).
